Adam Hunter

As you may have already heard, it is with great sadness that the Mearns Castle Golf Academy’s Director of Instruction, Adam Hunter, passed away on Friday the 14th of October, after a 2 year battle with Leukaemia. 

Many will remember Adam for famously coaching Paul Lawrie to the British Open in 1999, or for when he won the Portuguese Open in 1995, defeating Darren Clarke in the play off, however for all his friends, family and colleagues, he will simply be remembered as Adam; a hard working, dedicated and honest man, who’s love for golf went beyond that of anyone you will ever meet. 

Adam leaves behind a golfing legacy at Mearns Castle, which we will forever cherish.
